Photoshoppin’ como es mi trabajo

Woke up at 6 with a migraine this morning, and when i got it to calm down i couldn’t go back to sleep so i shopped the picture that Donna asked me to work on. I believe its my wife’s Grandmother…

Anniversary (1 down, couple Eternities to go…)

So it’s anniversary time. Here’s the first batch of photos while i’m doing work on a few things about 1:15 in the morning on the 2nd. Wonderful Westerns gallery is uploading and it is going to take a while even on the cable interwebs that i miss.

Here we go…

After the drive down where else would we eat while we waited for Amanda’s haircut but Red Robin. We shared the usual Clucks n Fries with a Chocolate Shake.

Getting to Sandy’s I needed to do the work that is getting done right now, but wouldn’t ya know that Sandy’s computer was broken and needed help. We ended up trading the haircut for the computer stuff, and i missed out on some work goodness. Also about this time I realized how much i didn’t miss valley as i was already sweating INSIDE!

Dinner at Ichiban with John & Ceri. I tried my first Sushi and am still alive to tell the tale. Great to see them!

This could easily be called the highlight of the evening. While waiting for Kody at Golfland we saw a human/fox creature. I guess cloning isn’t going the way they wanted it or we have found the coolest kid in the 480. I’m gonna lean for the latter. GO FOX BOY!
At the first hole while we waited for the parade of little kids to get a hole ahead of us. Kody told is we should have told him to bring a date. hehe

I think they put this hole in just to make you feel like the coolest kid in the world! After putt putt we played Pinball and headed to Aunt Mary’s for pool time. Saw Dean, Donna, and Luna there.

After Golfland we went to Aunt Mary’s and went swimming which was also a blast. We saw Luna there which we will be adopting on Wednesday (or regaining custody i guess since its Amanda’s dog). This weekend we have to fence in a pen so he can hang out while we are at work.

Sunday after church now… We went to Jaba’s baby blessing which was pretty sweet. Any guuesses why i’m in a black room with the windows covered…. Yup winner migraine, but Aunt Mary came through HUGE with an Imitrex in her car. Good time eating lunch and hanging out at Uncle Bruce’s house.

How could have i almost forgotten this picture? Kody came with us on Sunday and couldn’t put Jaba and Suzie’s baby down. It was hilarious to see him and my Mother-in-law Donna fight over who got more time holding the baby.

MYSPACE!!!
After the wonderful Imitrex took hold.

Ate dinner at Matt’s house with Ceri’s family and then played Catch Phrase. Yup i sweated inside there too.

Pretty much haven’t figured it out yet, but babies dig me! Matt’s baby girl is pretty stinking cute as Amanda would say.

MORE COMING SOON AS IT HAPPENS!

Okay, so i got some sleep after getting everything uploaded about 1:30. John and Ceri were so great to us, and i don’t think we can thank them enough. I’m sure they had to be sick of us by the end.

Guess where we went? I took Amanda to the Temple at the time we got sealed. Since it was a Monday the Temple wasn’t open so we couldn’t go inside, but we walked around the outside and then went into the visitor’s center.

Such a beautiful place! We talked about it a lot and decided that is the House where we grew up spiritually in. Its the House where we became the adults we pretend to be in public.

Inside the Visitor’s Center I gave Amanda a note like I had when i proposed to her, and the pulled her ring out of my pocket and gave it to her again. (It had been being repaired, so it was a surprise!)

After the Temple we went to Oregano’s instead of Pete’s 🙁 because Jenn couldn’t drive that far. Clancey & Kody even showed up for some good Italian food.

John, you’re my hero!! Thanks for helping out with the suite and everything…

I know, I know you’re saying… “what suite?” Well after Oregano’s we ran over to pick up Clancey’s broken computer and then I told Amanda i wanted to pick up some Pete’s Fish and Chips sauce to take home. She looked at me weird, but i told her i had been craving some. When i pulled onto Centinnel Way she got confused and told me that Pete’s was off of main. I just smiled and said, “oh ya, i got us a room at the Marriott.” She didn’t believe me until i puleed up to the hotel, and we got our key. I sent her and the bellhop up to our room while i parked the car, and Amanda headed up to the same suite we spent our first night together. It was so fun just to relax for the rest of the day, and when i told Amanda she could do what ever she wanted for the rest of the day she ended up taking a nap first thing.

That night we ate at Serrano’s and went hot tubing all by ourselves before heading back up to the room to watch 21.

Next morning we checked out of our room after getting to sleep in HOORAY! We did get to eat at Pete’s, which was magical as ever. On the way out of town we stopped at the Hospital and took them Frosty’s like old times. Raelynn was working and we talked with her while she had lunch.

We had wanted to get our tired rotated so we stopped in at the discount tire by our old apartment. It conveniently had a game stop next to it so we went in and asked them as we had every other electronics store if they had a Wii in. Amanda wanted to get one for our Anniversary, and i wasn’t about to tell her no to getting a video game she would play. As we suspected they said no, but he asked us to hang on for a second. The store up the road had just gotten an order, and when he opened it there was 2 Wii Consoles in it. They couldn’t hold it so I called Azstar, which was right next to it, and Stan went and grabbed it. It was good to get to run up there and talk with them for a minute as well.

After ridding ourselves of that money that had been burning a hole in our pockets we headed back on the road and drove home. For some reason it was a really long drive, and we couldn’t wait to get home. Oh ya, cause that Wii stared at me the whole way home. Before unpacking the goodness we ran to Gwen’s to pick up my present from Amanda. She bought me a grill that we will break in this weekend when her parents make it down.

Yes, we got a Wii, and yes it is AWESOME! We played Mario Kart Wii for like 2 hours until we both were about the fall asleep at the wheel. hehe Even today while at work, time is going by SOOOO slow. LOL

Pretty much couldn’t have asked for more when it came to the first anniversary, and I hope that everyone is this special!

Memorial Day 2008 – Post Rodeo BBQ

McB – We all got together after the rodeo got over and we put it up at my parents house to have a BBQ and relax in the backyard. (Rodeo Pics coming soon) As you will see i’m kinda obsessed with the Panorama feature of my cell phone. Clancey came up and brought some friends. The are playing basketball in the middle part of the pic.

May 23rd – Snow?!?

McB – So pretty much it snowed on May 22nd. The thursday before the Rodeo. The snow made the arena horrible and we ended up postponing the rodeo until Memorial Day.

Valley of the Sun

Another trip, another week. Here we are in Tempe right now, half way through our trip. We took advantage of the opportunity to sleep in this morning, and it has felt great. We drove down on Thursday as soon as i left for work. I met Amanda in Show Low where she interviewed for a job at Summit Health Care. They offered her a job as a HUS in MED SERG. For those people who’s wives aren’t in the medical field and either are you (i’m learning tons when we study and she tells me about her day), she will be a Health Unit Secretary for a part of the hospital that does Med Serg as well a Telemetry.

Yesterday we got up very early and headed for ASU to see Ceri’s graduation. They filled Wells Fargo Arena with students, teachers, and family. After we saw and screamed for Ceri we headed up to Sun City to visit Sue and the others @ COL. It has been a while since i’d been there, and had some cleaning up to do on their network. Everything seems to be running smoothly now, and we were able to just miss rush hour as we crossed the city one more time. Back to Azstar we said hi to everyone, and on the way in I told Amanda that i’d bet her 5 bucks that they would ask me to do something for them. Sure enough we are going over to the Heath’s for lunch today to unpack, install, and work on their new computer. I hope its Carne Asada!!!

After Azstar we went to the apartment and paid it off completely. That’s is such a huge weight off our shoulders. We ended up at Red Robin with Clancey and his Girly Friend. After the steak fry goodness that we hadn’t had for like 5 months we went and watched IronMan!!! Totally worth it! Getting home at midnight we crashed out for another big day.

We woke up Saturday and headed to the Temple. I didn’t realize how much i missed that place until then. We had a great session, and then headed over to the Heaths for lunch and computer time. That’s where i am now as i watch the computer update itself. Oh the joys of being the Keyboard Cowboy.

April Winds brings May More Wind

A very fast week this week as we’ve been getting ready to go to Colorado for Sam & Jill’s farewell BBQ in Fruita. They are moving east for Jill’s school. I am excited to go, but oh how much i do not like long drives. The wind is blowing like there’s no tomorrow (which is normal for this time of the year), and it makes everything way too much fun. I have picked up a couple new customers here in RV and it has made the side business very nice as of late. I hope things continue on in this direction, but i hope i can balance it with work and still have some down time to be with Amanda. Next weekend should be just as crazy as we are going to phoenix to see Ceri Gough’s graduation and Dallin Harris’ wedding. He asked me to DJ it so we figured it’d be a good time to get away. All in time to try and get back for Mother’s Day that Sunday. Never rest for us!

Da Twitterz n’ Stuff

Just got twitter for fun… We’ll see I guess. It reminds me a lot of facebook’s updates but hopefully better. Click on the link to the left to follow us and let the good times roll.

———————————–

The weekend went by way too fast. My mom is still kinda sick but more just tired. She asked Amanda and me to take Mylea and a friend to the carnival, and i began to understand why parents aren’t thrilled about the carnival. One of the mom’s we were talking to made the comment she understands now why there were never allowed to go, “oh ya, i guess they didn’t want us to get hepititus…” Saturday Amanda crammed for school as it is wrapping up for the semester and I hammered out the video for the gymnastics production. It turned out well i believe. Here’s my little broseph doing his thing…

Newho during the day we went out and rode the horses again with Mylea and her friend. The wind was blowing like mad crazy, but Moo did so great! Later in the evening we went to a BBQ and met some new peeps in RV (couples about our age). This next weekedn we are going to a game night which should be a good time. Hopefully some pics coming… Jenn is coming this week and so that will be a good time to see her again.

Is we hicks yet?

Well this last weekend was a really good time. John and Ceri came up and visited us on Saturday night. We ended up over at my Mom and Dad’s for the usual Sunday dinner and then a roping lesson and Ceri’s first encounter with a horse. We let our killer 1 year-old colt, Jigsaw, on her. I think we all had a blast, and i even ended up sun burnt. (Man i love being bald!) For a ton of pics goto our web albums..

The rest of the weekend was ripping all of the video from the Gymnastics competition onto my video editing computer so i can get the DVD together before next weekend. Never a dull moment aournd these parts. YEEHAW!

Funny to remember a comment that my previous bosses’ wife told me that she always knew i wasn’t all sophisticated and was just a small town hick. I guess she is right but it ain’t no 90 something degrees where i’m at either. I guess sophistication involves a lot of being “hot under the collar” hehehe.
