Dare Family | Blogginess

Real quick,

I cleaned up the Dare Family blog from the last extravaganza we had and rethemed it to something more fitting.  Check it out, it’s been a blast playing together online.  http://darefam.blogspot.com/ <– in case any of y’all forgot.  Hit it up, and post away. We talked about a kids session online.  Let me know when we wanna do that, and I’ll have my little sister over.

Wet Furniture Week

So we finally got out of town for the weekend! This week has been insane so getting out is relaxing, and much needed. The whole week started with my not being able to fall asleep Sunday night, so I got up at midnight and started working on our Cisco stuff at work that needed upgrading. At four I headed in and finished up some work and was home around 10, but then crashed until 3 that afternoon.

I had two tests looming over my head for school, and they plagued me the whole week because I never had ample time to dedicate to my books. Wednesday, I got home from work and got ready for Matthew came over for 24, and ten minutes into being home I got a call that the Hudson’s furniture store had a water line broke. The next three hours and some Matthew and I helped out the ward move things in and out of the furniture store. We still ended up watching 24 and then crashing to bed. Thursday I was in knots, and studied like mad. The tests ended up being much less than I had anticipated, and I did fine. When I got home we got ready to go to the Ward’s Valentines Day Party that I DJed, and then back home to bed. Friday I had to fix three computers before we could head out, so about 9 we were ready to go..

Mac Addiction

I was messing with our blog this evening, trying to get acquainted with WordPress, and I came across this pic.  I think this is where my intrigue for Apple Computers was reignited..

duna, dun dun dun, Another week bites the dust…

Sunday has come and the Sabbath is such a refresher from the week.  It has been intense and full of a good ammount of craziness.  I have been trying all weekend to get solid time for my homework, but something has always been in the way.  Even now as I’m trying to type up this post someone called and has distracted me from even doing this.

Friday I got called into work at 6:30a because a server took a dive, and then got busy the rest of day.  Yesterday I ended up building and mending fence with my dad so I got home about 4:30 and then was busy until the evening.  Now it’s almost six and I’ve touched on each of my subjects just a little bit.  I best get back to things, but i’m going to give twitter another shot and if nothing else it will be a microblog on wesmcb.com, so if you are twittertastic then friend me up @zeronome

a little side-action… here’s out goofy animals..  I’m looking for your best captions for them in the comments.. here’s my shot..

McBaby Boy with a side of HOLY CRAP!

So today was the day that we’ve been waiting for since Amanda got pregnant..  We went to Show Low for our first Doctor’s appointment at his home office.  We got to have our full sonogram today where they scanned and measured just about everything you could imagine. Right at first she put the sonogram onto her belly and right there was our boy.  Took all of about 2 seconds to figure that part out, so the suspense was gone and the rest was enjoyable.

In a few of them you can see him holding the umbilical cord, and so he must be practicing roping.  Grandpa was happy for sure when he saw the pics.

Leave us a comment on what you think the name should be, we get to think about that stuff now!

Dare Family Calendar Photo | 2009

I got everyone’s photos for the calendar, and put them together.  I know its not classy or anything, but it was tough to keep everyone fairly large inside one page.  Let me know if it is alright…

Holiday goodness…

So this may end up being a reoccuring thing here. Thursday has come once again, and after getting two great breaks between Christmas and New Years I am less than enthusiastic with being back to work. It has been a great week though so who am I to complain about the great lives that The Other McBrides have. Christmas was great, and more than anything it was awesome to get to see family and friends. The weekend before Christmas we drove up to Colorado to see the Dare family. Sam & Jill flew in from Connecticut, Dean and Donna drove up from Arizona, and everyone met up at Chad & Mindy’s. It ended up beign a rather interesting flight for Sam and Jill (Sam & Jill getting Home). Jill blogged all about it so check that out as well. We just had a great time up there, nothing but great memories. I’m pretty sure that every one in the Dare Families are hooked on the Wii. We played Mario Kart for a few hours the night before we went home, and Sam ended up buying a Wii when he got back to Connecticut. The drive back was fun with the snow that Colorado was getting so we took it slow, and had an enjoyable (Amanda won’t believe I called any drive enjoyable) drive home.

After getting home we had Christmas Eve at my parents house, and with a lot of other friends and family we filled their house with about 20 people and had a blast. We stayed up and played Rummy for most of the night. My great Aunt Gwen loves to host Christmas dinner, and now that she is getting older she loves to take us all out to Hondah’s Christmas Dinner. We made the drive while it was snowing and freezing up and had a great meal as well as a great time.

New Years was spent with Ethan and Emily at our house. We played games and watched movies the whole night, and rang in the new year with some Martinellies. You know, that hardcore Cider stuff. Since then we have started to get back into the groove. School is starting again for Amanda next week, and my starts the following one. She is already studying a ton on the homework they got for the break. She is amazing and I don’t know how she juggles me, school, work, and being pregnant. That is going well by the way. Our last Doctor’s appointment went smooth and we were told everything looks to be on track and normal. She has actually lost one pound since we started this whole thing, but the Doctor told us that it is not a concern anymore, and it will start happening soon. Amanda told me earlier this week that she felt the baby move, and getting to hear the heartbeat again are both amazing experiences for both of us. Our next appointment will be the full ultrasound where we get to see our child for the first time. Hopefully sha (see John & Ceri’s blog) is not bashful and we will be able to see the gender.

Sorry about the lack of photos, but my new phone has the Camera disabled so we don’t take near as many pictures.
