Colorado Trip | Rough Draft | Photo Update

So its like midnight on Saturday or Sunday whichever side of midnight that i’m on and i can’t sleep so i’m sitting here in Sally and Jay’s living room just rambling on for a minute till i get tired. It’s been a blast trip so far that has scared the CRAP out of me more than once. There will be much video and photo when i get my VAIO booted up tomorrow, but for now besides the obvious long drive up to Meeker on Thursday it has been a blast thus far. High points have been…

* Tuesday is here and now i’m back at my keyboard in Springerville. Work is still work and the ride is about the same as well. I’m gonna update a little and we’ll see about some pics when i get home. (After i go fix a computer, and bring another one home) more updates to come.

* Thursday i logged in and found that the Album i had uploaded was really online, but Unlisted. Well it is listed now and ready for your viewing goodness

Trip up to Colorado

Sleeping in the Cabin again

Upon arrival to Meeker we headed to Dean and Donna’s and just relaxed for the evening before we headed up to the cabin in the rain. It was as relaxing as it was the time before. We stayed in the “Barn wood” Room, and getting to sleep in a bit was definately very nice.

Spring Cave

After sleeping in at the Barn wood room Donna and Mindy’s girls came up to the cabin. After eating some doughnuts we headed up to Spring Cave for some hiking. We had a good hike up and the interesting this was that people usually cross a bridge to avoid getting wet, but the bridge we crossed was shoe deep in water. That was a nice way to start out the hike. After bathing in bug spray we headed on up. After a very nice and scenic hike we found the mouth of the cave. The cave was actually humid inside and that made everything slicker.

Amanda Car Trouble (Again)

So pretty much we’ve had fun with Amanda’s car on our Honeymoon (Brakes), trip to RV (Fuel Pump), and this one (Tire action). After we got up to Meeker, went hiking, and got back in the Grand AM to head back into Meeker with the car pulling BAD to the right. So we headed to the tire shop and they put a tube in it so we could make it to Denver.

Meeker Recreation Park

After dropping the car off we went to the pool. I thought it was just a pool, but it is actually a water slide, kid pool, lazy river, basketball hoop, and diving board. Pretty much i had to try it all. This is all crammed into one room (they wouldn’t let cameras in becuase people are in swimming suits…) and it was pretty sweet! I was a big fan and i was fun to play with Carli, Reagan, and Molly. About when we got ready to leave my contacts decided they were done working for the day and i couldn’t see anything until we back home so i could get them out.

Olympics

The opening ceremonies came on and we got pretty excited. I love the Olympics and and pretty stoked to see the rest of it. After about three or four hours we all were out of it and headed to bed.

Mount Evans

Ya, if you can’t read the orange sign it says ROAD DAMAGE. I think that may have been the understatement of the trip.

Guitar Hero III & Wii

We jammed some guitar hero on they TONKY TONK saturday night after getting back to the house. It was fun to just relax with them and have a day off.

Carne Asada

We cooked carne asada for the family on Sunday after church. It was very chill and i’m sure that we all ate too much.

EagarDaze 08

Here’s just a little something something to tide you over till i get videos and more time to post about Eagar Daze.

Goofy Dog

I was cleaning the house this morning and Luna wanted to get away from the vacuum and the broom, so he hid under the table. He made himself very comfortable on the cross bar of one of our chairs there. What a goof ball!!
Mylea, Wes’s little sister, was spending the day with me one day this week and her and Luna became good friends. She was watching a movie and Luna came up and wanted attention like always, but she invited him on the lovesac with her and he didn’t hesitate one bit. They cuddled for a while. It was pretty cute that is for sure! Mylea is going to show him in the dog show this weekend at Eagar Daze, she is so excited. We will for sure post some pictures and maybe even a video or something.

Is that KNIFE CITY?!?

So we have had this bull for a few years now to build up the 1 Acre Ranch herd. My dad had bought this bull from a local that bucks bulls on Thursday nights. Well the time has come to tade in our bull to keep the gene pool nice and neat. We took him last night to the Jackpot Bullriding they were having and we heard over and over, “Is that Knife City?.” We had found out his name by a friend of ours a year back by him exclaiming the same thing. Who knew our bull had suc ha cool name. Anywho Kinfe City is moving on to become the Apache Reservations newest bull, and my dad has become two heifers richer. So long Knife City, Mylea will miss you!

End of July Catchup

Here’s the cell phone wrapup of the last few weeks. I wasn’t sure what to blog about so i just pulled some pictures off of my cell phone and here we go…

Tucson Trip. A little work with a little fun. We went with Dez and family to Funtastics and did a little bumper boat action among Golf, Lasertag, and Gokarts. It was a great break and we took my little sister Mylea along with us. A little sneak peak of parenthood?

Hmmmm… Whats this? It is one of Amanda’s 12 books for her first semester of Nursing school? We have been delving into the first eleven chapters these past few days. She is to be well versed in those eleven chapters before the first day of school.

As if a dozen book weren’t enough we are submitting everything from bloodtype to shot records to get her in and ready to go. We dropped some paperwork off on Monday to the school in Show Low and i couldn’t get her to pose in front of this picture. I think she is handling the stress of it all pretty well. Afterwards we went to see The Dark Knight in Pinetop. AMAZING!!! Go watch it like three times. Not in a row though cause that is a pretty long movie.

The weather of the season has brought us some pretty nice looking scenery. Everything is green, and the clouds have been soo beautiful lately.

We went up to the camp at Greens Peak when Mindy and the girls were here. It was good fun, and they had a huge Teeter Totter there that bucked me off. Then to be fair Amanda got bucked off of the other one.

Life comes at ay fast…

it seems that life comes in bursts. things were very smooth last week and life just flowed, but then the bumpy road comes and we remember that no victory comes without trial, or there is always something for us to go through to strengthen us in our lives. there is a rainbow at the end of this stormy day, we will soon find ourselves in Tucson enjoying the weekend with family and a swimming pool.

oh ya, and Amanda and I both have golfed a (-4) game on Wii Sports… Just felt like that needed to be added. Got my *Pro dealio on Bowling a few days ago, so i’m slowly moving onto Tennis. I’m not a fan of Baseball or Boxing too much so i may end up a 3 star Professional. hehe Wow, it sounds like that’s all i do, but i promise we don’t play it that much…The Mole comes on at 9 and we can’t just do both at the same time now can we?
